The news that Sandra Bullock’s husband, reality show star Jesse James, was allegedly having an affair came as a bit of a surprise after all the support and generosity Bullock showed toward her spouse at all the Hollywood awards ceremonies. The bad boy biker had seemed to change his image while married to the popular movie star. He seemed to become a bit more settled. But as the public discovered (especially after Jesse James’ vague apology to his wife and children), some things weren’t as they appeared on the surface. A preceding revelation in In Touch Weekly, offered up for a reported $30,000, alleged that a website cam girl, tattooed model, and stripper — Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee — had been his mistress for 11 months. Those affair allegations left many wondering if Sandra Bullock may have only been a trophy wife all along…
Jesse James, who starred in the reality show “Monster Garage,” had been something of wild one before he met Sandra Bullock. But his wildness seemed to peak when he married Janine Lindemulder in 2002. Lindemulder rose to fame through the porn industry and gained even more notoriety after a taped sex session with Motley Crue’s lead singer, Vince Neil, hit the internet (and was later sold) as a popular video. But the couple were soon divorced.
James met Sandra Bullock when she toured his garage, the site of his reality television series. They began dating and were married in 2005. It seemed that Jesse James, then 35, was done with the fringe lifestyle.
But that may not have been the case. It is unknown if there were other women (or even if it is true that there was even one, as Jesse James claims that many of the allegations were “untrue and unfounded”), but an 11-month affair with Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee, a woman associated with the adult entertainment industry, a woman bedecked in tattoos (as was his ex, Janine Lindemulder), seems to indicate that, if he had left the biker image behind, he may not have left the lifestyle.
But one of Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee’s revelations in her interview with In Touch Weekly shows that Jesse James may have thought of his wife as a trophy. She told the gossip mag that, when asked about Sandra Bullock, he had told her that she lived separately and he couldn’t talk about it. Michelle McGee’s former employer at SoCalGlamourGirls.com, a adult chatroom website, noted that McGee said that Jesse James told the tattooed model that the marriage was a publicity sham.
Could there have been any truth in James’ alleged words to McGee? If so, it seems to have been a sham in only half the relationship. Sandra Bullock seemed convincing when she gave her acceptance speeches at the awards ceremonies, making comments about her love for James. (Some will not that Sandra Bullock, after all, is an actress. But still…)
The similarities in the lifestyles of James’ ex, Janine Lindemulder, and his alleged mistress, Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee, might lead one to think that perhaps Jesse James had not outgrown his wildness after all. Or that perhaps he thought he had when he married Sandra Bullock, only to find that, over time, he preferred it and, instead of actually separating or divorcing his wife, decided to have an affair. And not only just an affair, but one where his alleged mistress resembled his porn-associated ex-wife.
In the end, Sandra Bullock may not have been Jesse James’ trophy wife in the beginning, but, if allegations of the affair are true, she may well have become one. In a touch of irony, while she was picking up trophy after trophy at the awards ceremonies this year, she may have unknowingly been the biggest trophy pf all.
